Dear Prabashi community,

Wishing every one a very Happy New Year – 2023. We are hoping that 2023 will bring in all the happiness in your lives and we will be able to strengthen our bond as a community to reach new milestones of success. On the same note, Prabashi Portland is proud to bring in our first celebration of the year –  Prabashi Saraswati Pujo 2023 on Saturday Jan 28th. This is that much awaited time of the year when we welcome Ma Saraswati – the Goddess of knowledge, learning, wisdom and music.

We will be encouraging everyone to come together and make this effort our first grand success of 2023. Pujo rituals will start at 10 am and Anjali will happen at 11:30 am. Please follow the webform below to purchase your tickets.

Last day for tickets and event registration is Monday, Jan 23.

Lunch coupons are available for purchase separately and is NOT a part of entry ticket.

Quiz and Cultural event are canceled. Bose Anko will take place 11 am – noon.

Due to low number of responses, we are forced to cancel this year’s Quiz and Cultural event. We sincerely thank all those who have expressed interest for these events so far. Prabashi is committed to organizing such events in the future to showcase talents from our community.

However, Bose Anko has garnered considerable interest and we are thrilled to host this event for our young talents at Puja Mandap starting at 11 am.

As you all know that we are planned to celebrate Ma Saraswati this 28th Jan, we are looking for willing hands who can support us in making this event most awesome than ever. Below are a list of volunteering opportunities for you to select from. We urge you to put in your best effort and provide your much needed help for Saraswati Pujo.

1. Puja decoration (on the day before)

Prabashi Association of Portland is happy to host the auspicious Bengali ceremony of “Haate Khori” (introduction to education) for your kid this Saraswati Pujo. Those interested please sign up for the event.
