You’re cordially invited to join us as we celebrate the timeless legacies of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, whose works have inspired generations. Every year, our Portland Prabashi community proudly comes together to honor these literary giants. Let’s carry forward this cherished tradition and create an evening filled with heartfelt tributes, artistic expressions, and vibrant celebrations of our rich cultural heritage!

For over 25 years, Prabashi has proudly provided a platform for our local talents to thrive and grow alongside our vibrant community. We are grateful to our Team Leads who step forward each year to spearhead group performances and bring creative ideas to life. 

We’re excited to announce that our Team Leads and Performance Categories have been finalized. Now it’s your turn—please select the group you’d like to participate in from the list below.

  • Dance Drama (Kids & Adults) – Paroma Chatterjee
  • Kids Song – Chandrima Chatterjee
  • Kids & Adult Classical Dance (Rabindra/Nazrul; classically trained performers only) – Poulami Dey
  • Adult Drama – Aparna Mukherjee & Soumya Banerjee
  • Kids Drama (Ages 8+) – Aparna Mukherjee
  • Adult Dance – Dipanwita Mukherjee
  • Adult Song – Jahnavi Chatterjee
  • Adult Song – Shraboni Ghoshal
  • Other

If none of the above categories fit your interests, you may submit your request under “Other.” We’ll do our best to accommodate you, though we cannot guarantee placement.

📢 Important Registration Deadlines:

  • Team Lead Registration Deadline: April 15th, 2025 (Closed)
  • General Registration: April 16th – April 30th, 2025

After the lead registration window closes, we will open registration for individual performers who will be mapped to group performances.

đź“ś Guidelines for Proposals:

  • Prabashi is committed to promoting inclusivity, fairness, and transparency. As a Team Lead, we encourage you to uphold these values and create space for both seasoned performers and newcomers.
  • To ensure a balanced and engaging event, we suggest the following time limits:
    • Group size of 5-10: 10 minutes
    • Group size of 11-20: 20 minutes
    • Group size of 20 and above: 30 minutes
  • We encourage group performances and expect team leads to accommodate individual performers who sign up through open registration.
  • Due to scheduling constraints, we discourage participation in multiple groups.
  • If multiple requests are received under the same category, proposals will be evaluated based on the number of participants, clarity, and diverse representation of art forms.
